By using Aurora Forecast Tonight, you agree to these terms. Please read them before creating an account or subscribing.
Entertainment Purposes Only
Aurora Forecast Tonight is provided as a tool for informational and entertainment purposes only. Forecasts of aurora visibility, geomagnetic activity, and cloud cover forecasts are inherently uncertain and should not be relied upon for travel planning, financial decisions, safety related decisions, or any other decision making purpose. We do not guarantee that aurora and/or clouds will be visible or not visible as predicted by the Service, or at all. Any decisions or actions taken based on information from this Service are at your own risk.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account, and you're responsible for keeping your password secure and for any activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Subscriptions and Billing
Aurora+ and Chaser Pro are paid subscriptions billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account's billing management page. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for, you're not cut off immediately, and you won't be billed again after that period ends. We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods.
Community Content
Community Sightings and Chaser Chat let you post text and, for paid subscribers, photos, that other users can see. By posting, you agree that:
- You won't post content that is sexual, pornographic, hateful, harassing, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate, including profanity, cyberbullying, or impersonation of another person.
- Any photo you upload was taken by you, and you have the right to share it.
- Your public display name must clearly represent you and not be vague, offensive, or misleading.
- We may remove any content, and suspend or terminate any account, for violating these terms, without refund.
- Photos are reviewed before appearing publicly. Community content you post may remain visible even after you delete your account, since it was shared into a space other users can see.
Acceptable Use
Don't use the Service to break the law, attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours, interfere with the Service's operation, or scrape or resell our data without permission.
Intellectual Property
Aurora Forecast Tonight's design, code, and content are owned by us. You keep ownership of anything you post (like sightings and photos), but by posting it, you give us permission to display it on the Service.
Data Sources
We rely on public data from NOAA, NASA, and the National Weather Service, among others. We aren't responsible for errors, delays, or interruptions in that underlying data.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that forecasts will be accurate.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aurora Forecast Tonight and Space Weather Watch are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on forecast information.
Changes to These Terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you have a dispute with us, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us.
